Our story

Where local comes together.

A year-round marketplace in Bloomington, Indiana — built so small farms, makers, and neighbors can find each other under one roof.

The Bethel Lane Farm Stop barn in Bloomington, Indiana

Bethel Lane Farm Stop began in 2017 when we partnered with three other local farms to create something our community didn't yet have — a place where small farms could come together under one roof and sell directly to the Bloomington-area community.

What started with just four farms has grown into a year-round marketplace representing more than 70 Indiana farms, food producers, artisans, and small businesses. Today, customers can find fresh produce, locally raised meats, eggs, milk, cheese, baked goods, flowers, plants, honey, coffee, handcrafted products, and much more — all produced by dedicated local growers, makers, and entrepreneurs.

Our mission is simple: connecting the Bloomington-area community with local products while supporting small farms and makers through a year-round marketplace.

At Bethel Lane Farm Stop, we believe local matters. When customers have convenient access to locally grown and locally made products, everyone benefits. Small farms gain reliable market opportunities, local makers can grow their businesses, and more dollars stay within our regional economy.

We are deeply committed to strengthening and expanding our local food system. By bringing producers and customers together in one place, Bethel Lane Farm Stop helps small farms remain viable, encourages agricultural entrepreneurship, and creates opportunities for local businesses to thrive.

More than a store, Bethel Lane Farm Stop is a gathering place. It's where customers can discover new local products, meet the people who grow and make them, and build meaningful connections within the community. It's where neighbors run into neighbors, conversations happen naturally, and relationships are built around a shared appreciation for local food, local craftsmanship, and local enterprise.

As Bethel Lane Farm Stop continues to grow, our mission remains unchanged: connecting the Bloomington-area community with local products while creating opportunities for small farms and makers to succeed.

Thank you for supporting local. Every visit and every purchase helps strengthen the community we are building together.

The people behind the stop

A small crew. A whole lot of farms.

Most days you'll find us behind the counter or out on the floor — restocking the cooler, sweeping the porch, and swapping recipes with the growers who drop off that morning's deliveries. Come say hi the next time you're in.
